It's Good For Ya. . .Cleans Your Lungs Out!

A LONG, BORING STORY EXPLAINING THE TITLE

I remember when I was a wee lad, sitting between my dad and grandfather in my grandfather's truck. He took a shortcut around the backside of town and drove right through a plant that manufactured fertilizer.
I gagged and choked! Tears welled up in my eyes from the fumes! My grandfather, a farmer by trade, looked at me and said, "Calm down, Corby! It's good for ya! Cleans your lungs out!"
Now, inhaling lethal amounts of Ammonia Nitrate is no laughing matter - but that was the way he was. It was my grandfather's way of saying, "Lighten up!"
My father liked the phrase so much he used it to enlarge his vernacular (and if you've ever had an enlarged vernacular you know just how painful that can be!) It became an all purpose response! "Is this cheese too old to eat?", "Should I really be going all in with a pair of twos?", "What if these new socks of mine make me look fat??"
Answer: "It's good for ya! Cleans your lungs out!"
Translation: "Stop worrying! Just do it!"
Well, that's what I imagine this blog becoming. A container for the more cartoony drawings that we don't labor on and don't take too seriously. Phone doodles, gags, observations. . .the products of perspicacious conversations and astute scrutinies of the world around us. (Mostly butt jokes)
Stop by frequently and take a good whiff. It's good for ya.

Bad Luck

I think I'm bad Luck.

I was the last person to post on The Morsels Blog and soon after, it went kaput. I hope that doesn't happen to this Blog. I like it too much. Please don't let my Bad Luck ruin The Lung Scrubber.

I was watching Midnight Cowboy the other day and became obsessed with the old lady in the funny glasses who was on the bus in the final scene. She's quite the looker. Please enjoy these scribbly sketches.
